Underside 65 Dearborn - again....... What have restorers done?
« on: September 17, 2020, 04:27:11 AM »
Hi All,
Flogging the dead horse of underside finish/paint again.....
I've done lots of search on this here and further, and greatly appreciate everything that's been researched and posted.
My angle for this question is more looking for examples of what people restoring their cars have done, with general pictures and paint mixes "actually used" if possible.
Specifically, nearly ready to paint the underside of a July 13th 65 Dearborn car.
Lots of talk about grey mix, slop grey, black etc from original cars and cleaned sections.
What I'd like to see is examples of what people have used in their actual restorations for cars with similar build date and factory. And paint mix details if at all possible.
I know when I'm restoring a car (mostly Falcons previously) I take tons of pictures, especially when paint time arrives, and so I'd love to see what others have done to similar cars at the paint stage.
Again, apologies for flogging a well worn topic, but hopefully looking at it from a fresh angle....
Cheers
Warren
