Topic: 1967 Signal Light Switch

I have been unraveling the horrible mistakes of the previous owner on my '67 "C Code" coupe, and I'm just about there.  However, I cannot seem to figure out the signal lights.  I installed a new switch and a new flasher.  When I try the signals, they do not work, but the fuse doesn't blow.  All other lights on the car are now working (i.e., brakes, reverse, hazards, etc.).  Is there something I'm missing?  Is it possible that I destroyed the new switch since I put it in before I fixed the several shorts that I found along the way?  Should I just buy another new switch and install again?  I've been trying to avoid this since they're $90 a pop.  I love this forum, any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's the possibility of the turn signal rivet heads on the back of the TS Switch to contact the metal chassis of the steering column (ask me how I know).  Since then, I've always put a piece of black electrical tape over those rivet heads to protect against shorts.
However, if your 4 ways work, they use part of the standard turn signal switch wiring in the TS Switch, suggesting another cause.  Have you checked that you have power in to the TS switch relay can?  Most 67 inputs are ACC unfused; but a few are fused with the radio/backup light fuse (top fuse).

Thank you for your reply.  I will try the electrical tape.  Would that keep the signals from working??
Regarding power, I have put a test light to the sides of the accessory fuse, and I have power coming in.  Is that what you mean??

Not quite.  As I said, only a very few 67's have fused ACC power to turn signal flasher can.  Test the orange wire on the turn signal flasher can: it should be 12V when key in ACC.
