68 Mustang Seat Rail
« on: September 15, 2020, 11:52:53 AM »
One of the threaded studs that mount my driver's seat to the floor has damaged threads.  I am not sure if these threaded studs can be pressed out and replaced of not?  Does anyone out there have a spare seat rail with good studs or if the studs can be removed does anyone have any replacement studs?
Thank you,
Corey

Run a 5/16' - 18 NC die over it. If that doesn't work you can buy one side or a whole assembly from WCCC:

I think a good quality tap and die set is the most underrated item in the tool box.

There is one listed by AMK ( www.amkproducts.com ), B-11662. It is 1 7/16 inch long, I assume the measurement is made from under the head to the end of the lead point tip. I don't know if that is the same length used on your seat track, but is may be a viable option.
