65 Fastback side and rear interior panel retainers
« on: August 31, 2020, 12:10:05 AM »
Can anyone share some good pictures of where the side and rear interior panel retainers go on a 65 fastback (see sig for details)?
Most of these retainers are shaped are like a flat U with tabs on the open sides. Two screws hold most of the retainer tabs to the body.
Part number is along the lines of C5ZB-63311A14-5. The assembly manual pics aren't quite good enough for some of them.

Wish you posted this 2 weeks ago. I had just finished redoing the carpet on my Fastback and had most of the interior panels out

Believe this represents what your looking for. The purple arrow represents a bracket that was not used during the period your car was built. Use the best picture I could find quickly that covered as much of one side as possible.

There would be one more bracket under the rear window but above the trap door opening. Then the same set of brackets shown in the picture on the drivers. So 17 in total I guess. The green arrow shows the odd bracket with three screws and double support/panel attachment holes

Thanks Jeff. I really appreciate the help.
I need to test fit some side panels back there and neglected to note which clip went where.

Perhaps others can also use the picture due to similar bad planning!

Not all the same and you have to play with them  rotating and matching them as much as possible to find where each oen was. Do have close ups of many if you can't seem to get the all or you need to swap one for another.
