1967 A/C vent hose drain location picture?
« on: July 19, 2020, 08:10:47 AM »
Does anyone have a 67 or 68 car apart that would make absolute reference for the 1" drain hose hole obtainable?
Thank you in advance.

I captured this info off a car a while back.  The first pic of the first document is from a Dearborn car, the remainder are from a different (NJ) car.  Tape measure referenced against a bend in the sheet metal.  Not easy to get without crisp references.

The second document is extra credit. You did not ask about it, but figured it might help you and others.  The hose is clamped at the case, and is screwed to the floor pan at the drain end.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

I appreciate your efforts, John.  They are difficult to come by and AC cars even more scarce.

Thanks for the thread post, I didn't have my clamp back from the plater when I installed my AC box a month or two ago...

To make compressing of the wire clamp attachment to the AC box easier, I squeezed the rings together with needle nose pliers and inserted the wire ends into a deep socket.

...or you can buy that tool you will never need again. No fight and no added cost this way...that socket costs enough, thank you and I can use it often.

John: I caught a couple interesting holes just to the left of the NON-AC heater hose exits. Are those holes for 6 Cyl accelerator linkage?

That car was not mine - a friend of mine stripped it about 10 years ago.  I noticed that it was an AC car and grabbed the pics with a tape measure.  No idea what engine or trans it was.
