Thanks for your replies, Pete, Carl and Jeff.I will email you, Pete. I cant wait to see what you have.I never thought about searching for Boss 351 detailing. Great idea, Carl !!No particular issue yet, Jeff. I was thinking I could use the 428 detailing guide and use any similarities (i.e. bracket colors/plating etc) and apply that detail to my motor until I get new info or a judge offers correction suggestions.
I found this image in the May 1975 MPC. Its a rendering of the expected product so there may be some differences from production but its got some details that answer a couple of questions for me.
Since the drawing was not meant to be a source of details what details did you see that you believe help you? Just asking so that they might be cross referenced with real production vehicles.
The oil cap/elbow/breather hose, the fan, the coil location, distributor vacuum diaphram, snorkel heat tube/vacuum motor and air cleaner decal location. My Mach did not have the entire air cleaner assembly when I bought it so trying to piece together what should be there based on the MPC has been challenging.
I will be rebuilding a 1970 351C-4V fairly soon and maybe I can document the process...............
I will be rebuilding a 1970 351C-4V fairly soon and maybe I can document the process and Jeff can tell me when I do things wrong Oh and my fan does not look anything like the one in the picture.
Interesting. The MPC I have doesnt differentiate between 2bbl and 4bbl 351C. What does your 4bbl have for a fan? Part no visible?
