Topic: March 1968 390. Correct vacuum advance unit?

My 68'390 GT FB arrived with a dual vacuum advance unit. I had that restored and having found good units hard to come by, I have since found and restored others as spares.

However I recently read on another forum, that the dual advance units were only used from late 1968 onwards... 
My understanding was that the correct distributor for a 68' GT390 C6 car is a C80F-D and for the 4 speed, the C (single)?
So is true for all 68' 390 cars, or is there a date where things changed?

Your carb numbers are correct. Both used a duel vacuum advance all year as far as I know.

The -D was on both.

The -C is a small block distributor.

Yes you are correct, I went down the carburetor column. But that distributor does use a dual advance.

You actually hit the nail on the head. If you post an answer and it's not easily understood, it can cause problems. Bottom line is - read what you post.

As an aside it should be noted that the Carburetor number and Distributor partial part number are both "C80F-D". And yes, I spelled out both Carb[sic] and Dizzy[sic].

Correctly:
The Panda eats shoots and leaves.
Incorrectly:
The Panda eats, shoots and leaves.
If you understand the lowly comma, you can read the difference.
