Topic: Curious holes both sides of floorpan - July 65 Dearborn

Hi all, I have set of 4 curious holes (or not as not punched through) both sides of the rear floorpan along the seam.
Car is July 65 Dearborn Fastback with the transition type floorpan.
Never seen these before but visible after blasting.
Was going to get my panel guy to patch them but saw a trace of same holes on a similar date fastback on one of the for-sale websites.
Please see attached. Can anybody please shed any light on these?

Don't think they are roll cage, although was a very messy stripped down car when I got it in the 90's....
Yes, Charles, dual exhaust, but these are on the floorpan ahead of the back seat riser. Don't think they have any mounts for the exhaust there?
If you can see the attached pic of a 66 GT350 I believe they may be the same non-holes to the lower right of the dual exh reinforcement plate?
Still no idea what they are for and they do not appear to actually penetrate the floor??

SO the picture is not of the car in question its of a reported Shelby from another year.

Two of the holes (one inside the other on the overlap) would be typical and on both sides for the E brake retainer given your floor style. Another hole that would on any 66 would be a second hole for the E brake cable retainer.

Think Charles was maybe suggesting that if dual exhaust was added they can often put the brackets on any place with big ugly screws 

Is there a plate covering the other holes on the inside of the car of your car? 
Is that sealant in those blocked holes on your car or is it even the same in that way? 
Got a picture of this are from the interior side from your car?

The gray primered interior appears to show spot welds over the rear frame rail not out in a visible (from below) floor panel. Its approx 4 inches forward and outwards from the picture/holes in the first picture from what I can make out

Couldn't find another example though roll bar would be the first guess with a repair especially since the example you posted is a Shelby. Not recall the best place to anchor a roll bar but installing an universal one you don't get a choice

Comparing yours and the Shelby the two red arrows indicate the same hole for the E brake cable. Notice that areas are different

As you may recall, you advised me a couple weeks ago re the possibility of "transition" period floorpan as I was curious about the lack of e-brake recess over the framerails.
Can remember when disassembling the car that it had 66 type e-brake cables and was unsure why....
Also, the holes shown in my floor seem to be punched in the bottom layer of steel, but not in the "inside" layer, if that makes sense.
Seems to be remnants of underside tar and sand filling them making look fuzzy.
This is the only pic I have to go by as car is 1.5hrs drive from me at the panel beaters.
Wasn't even aware of these being present until he sent me the pic and asked if should be filled.
Funny that the pattern is the same both driver & pass side?
Assume best course is to leave them there since they appear to be stamped, not drilled?

Later dual exhaust cars, probably when your car was made had the e-brake cables routed under the frame rail.  There were metal clips that held the cables to the floor with sheet metal screws.  Attached pic.

That's how I remember my e-brake cables going.
And the rear retainer looks to be in same place as the hole in my floor.
Right next to where those 4 mystery half-holes are.....
