Drip rail question - 66 NJ
« on: May 24, 2020, 06:50:56 PM »
Gents,
Take a look at my drip rail metal.  It was rusted out enough that it needed cut out.  Both sides are the same.  But how do I fix this now?  Any mustang part stores carry the metal to fix this?

Or get a great sheet metal and body guy to make small patch panels.  No Cc&C for this one (Credit Card & Catalog)

Keep in mind the fastback drip-rail is not a consistent trough from end to end.  At the curve the metal has a different shape, cut down some to help with getting the molding on.

Thanks for the replies gents.  CJ Pony Parts sells drip rail channel already in weld primer.  I'm going to cut out the pieces I need and weld them in place.  It is difficult to find a donor fastback mustang to carefully remove the drip rails by a competent individual.
