I used tape on the wire to the fuel tank based on the Osborn Assembly Manual (1964.5 Electrical Assembly)which shows 2 locations for tape "TAPE ESB-M305-1 (2.00 X 4.00) (2-REQD.)" It doesn't appear that it is meant tobe temporary, but I can understand that, unlike screws, bolts and clips, its not very permanent and won't survive after much "trunk use". Are we to use the Osborn manuals more of a guide than a rule?
This is the clip that came off my car. It held the rigid fuel line to the sheet metal lip in the front of the gas tank. Can anyone identify what I need to replace it with? It has the pinch style expanding internal clips.
That looks like a fuel/brake line clip like goes up in the trans. tunnel.
