Topic: '65 Fuel Tank Install

I was able to spend a lot of time under the car yesterday and got a lot of the small stuff installed.  3 questions came up that I need some help with.

1. What type/style of bolt do I use on the rear bumper guard that attaches through the lip of the gas tank?  It seems like an odd design...

2. What type of clips are used to hold the fuel sending unit wire in place on the sheetmetal lip in front of the tank?

3.  What style of clip secures the rigid fuel line along the same lip in front of the gas tank.  This would be the 1st clip that attaches to the rigid fuel line as it leaves the sending unit.

I have the AMK kits for this, but the parts in the kit just don't seem correct and unfortunately I have no original pictures of this area, it was disassembled many years ago!

There are usually two-one on each "outer" screw to hold the wire in place.

    Would you recommend I move my middle clamp to the end? I understand there was tape applied also. I just stuck the clamps on with no regard to what was correct.

Honestly, I would have to look at some original cars, because I cannot remember, but the assembly manual does show the clips on the two outer screws.

I have no signs of a clip on the PS (that doesn't mean it didn't rust away)  but the green arrow points to a clip on the DS. The yellow arrows show tape, of which I have 2. Maybe they swapped a clip for some tape?

I still have a question about the clip that secures the rigid line to the lip at the front of the tank.  The original clip I have seems to be the  push-in type, similar to the 2 that are used to hold the gas and brake lines together above the driveshaft area, except that it is smaller because it is only meant to hold one line.  I can't seem to find a new of these.  Brant your clip that holds the rigid lines appears to be different than what mine was...

I'll post a photo later today of what is left of the original clamp.

Here's a pic of the tape from a late May '65 Dearborn convertible.  It's too high up to serve any purpose once the tank is in and j-clips used to hold the wiring down.

At what point in production (65-66)did they stop using the clips and just use the tape? In my May 66 vert it only has the tape.

     I used tape on the wire to the fuel tank based on the Osborn Assembly Manual (1964.5 Electrical Assembly)
which shows 2 locations for tape "TAPE ESB-M305-1 (2.00 X 4.00) (2-REQD.)" It doesn't appear that it is meant to
be temporary, but I can understand that, unlike screws, bolts and clips, its not very permanent and won't survive after much "trunk use". Are we to use the Osborn manuals more of a guide than a rule?

This is the clip that came off my car. It held the rigid fuel line to the sheet metal lip in the front of the gas tank.  Can anyone identify what I need to replace it with?  It has the pinch style expanding internal clips.
