Topic: 70 vs 69 lower dash, steering column

I realize this topic has been discussed, and I have read what I can find yet pertaining to the differences between 69 & 70 lower dash metal panels, still wish to better understand:

(1) Will a 1970 steering column fit into the opening of a 1969 lower dash?
(2) If yes, will the '70 column it bolt directly to the '69 lower dash panel, or would the holes not line up?
(3) Are the lower dash panels for a 1970 the same between AC and non-AC, except for the obvious fact that the AC dash has large round holes cut into both sides? Or, is the glove box opening also a different size between the AC and non-AC?

Can't answer 1 or 2 but the glove box doors are the same A/C or not. The actual glove box for an A/C car is shallower.

The 70 opening is wider where the column is than the '69, so it may not, the 4 different dashes are not that difficult to find.  The Mustang dash panel and the Cougar dash panel are the same.
