Build date is the first week of February.

Guess you have a Marti report then.

What is the interior code listed there

Build date is the first week of February.
Trim code is 5A.

Given the completion date and the other info it appears that the material was available - at least for San Jose built cars- during that time period for comfort weave to have been installed/used

Example completed Feb 7th

For your information, I am attaching copies from two pages of my 1967 Color and Upholstery Book. When I purchased my book some 30 plus years ago, there was a separate brchure included in it on the Comfort Weave. In addition, there was a sample, approximately 3" x 7" of the Parchment Comfort Weave. I have attached pictures of the brochure and the front and back of the sample (which if held up to the light, one can see that light passes through it.

As for availability, it appears that it was available throughout the Model Year, as it is shown as an Option in the 8/66 Sales Brochure, the 1/67 Sales Brochure, and in the Soft Trim Section of the 1960-68 MPC, on a page dated October 1967, with no caveat of "not available after a certain date.

Hope this helps.

Not sure if supply issues would be know ahead of time so that that problem could be incorporated into sales documents. Wasn't done in over a dozen other issues we've discovered over the years.  In some cases this just delayed the building of cars while in other cases the problem affected so many orders other choices were made.

For others seat covers were assembled at the supplier and installed on the seat frames at the car plant in a sub assembly area as shown in some of the pictures posted on this site .

There were two period during 67 production where its been documented where the insert material was substituted most likely a supply issue.

I of course agree that a supply issue could have curtailed, limited, or paused the use of comfort weave, or any other trim or part for that matter. The point that I was trying to make, was that it was Ford's intent that it be available for the entire year, and to that end, I guess that I should have added after "was" and before "available", ,,, Ford's intent that it be... in order to clarify my statement (although I did say "appears"). Just didn't want anyone to get the idea that it was a "predetermined" thing that it wouldn't be available for the entire Model Year.

Bob thanks for the clarification

Believe we're both wanting to make sure readers don't take things only at face value but consider all of the current facts and findings. Production is full of twists and turns and if it were easy, simple and straight forward we would not have allot to discuss here

I wouldn't use "it has holes in it" as an indicator.
SMS has some sort of comfortweave and here is a sample up to light.
Next is a sample next to a seat.
And then all by itself.
