Topic: 67 Deluxe interior comfortweave?

Hi,
  I am ordering an interior kit for my 67 fastback with deluxe interior. Does the deluxe mean it will have the comfotweave seat covering?

Comfortweave was not part of the basic interior decor (deluxe) option.  The solid (non-comfortweave) material for standard and interior decor is exactly the same.  The interior decor option added an emblem on the seat back (front and rear seats) and added hard panels on the outside and rear of the front seats.  Otherwise the seats are identical.

Comfortweave was only available in black and parchment.  It is listed as a separate option in the showroom order book.  Do you have it listed on your Marti report?  What is your interior code?

If your car had the comfortweave option, replacements will have an appearance of comfortweave, when compared to a solid material.  But it is not like the original design that was weaved and could breath to the other side.  The other side being foam, so I don't know how good the breathing would be.  For those looking for an authentic replacement I've read about searching and finding original material (NOS) and having the seat covers custom made.

i see you are a newbie.....no offense but i would not use that vendor.

Is that because of there product quality or there customer service? I have read some bad reviews about there shipping time and customer service when there is a problem.

"A" is not a complete code.  According to the attached chart I see 2A, 4A, 5A, 6A, and 7A options, focusing on the A.  Limiting that to fastback (body style 63) the list is reduced to 2A, 5A, 6A, 7A.  If I recall, interior decor would be 63B, so the list is further reduced to 5A and 6A.

5A appears to be comfortweave, referring to the "knitted vinyl" description.
6A is non-comfortweave

I also included the swatch page which shows #13, knitted vinyl, actually has holes in it.

The only "knitted vinyl" (comfortweave) codes are:

5A - black, coupe/fastback only, interior decor
5U - parchment, coupe/fastback only, interior decor
7A - black, coupe/fastback only, standard interior
7U - parchment, coupe/fastback only, standard interior

So no convertibles (body 76) and only in black or parchment.  Available in standard or interior decor.

+1 . Get in the habit of ordering from Virginia classic Mustang or NPD besides being good companies with knowledgeable staff that carry the highest quality available of reproduction parts (= better fit less problems) they are both forum members and content contributors .

It is 5A. Sorry for the confusion, I was looking at the Shelby serial number which says A = black decor. My bad. Thanks for the great info.

IMO if you are doing a Shelby you should consider at least looking at the availability and cost of the right stuff.

Correct material will differ (comfort weave verses smooth inserts) based on when your car was built in that case. Check your Marti report to help with that
