How com some cars have the trunk lid bumpers on the corners of the lid while others (both convertibles) have adjustable ones on the outer corners of the trunk opening?

This should be related to bodystyle as you have indicated

Don't know why some do a and others don't. Some of the lack of ones being present could be from replacing quarter panels but even on unrestored/unrepaired cars there are both found.

Not something I've found an answer to at this point on convertibles

Will have to run that through a survey filter. The challenge is all the "restored" cars with replaced body panels. But we can at least see what can be seen.

The 69/70 underside of trunklid is easy to spot as repro or not .
