Note 1: Original 289 engine is still in the car. In June 1983 the engine was rebuilt and re-installed (long block) at 293,450 miles by an authorized Ford reman facility in San Diego. The car with Ford reman engine now has logged a total of 541,000 miles, or an additional 248,000 miles since the rebuild. 1983 Ford rebuilt engine warranty:

Note 2: During the engine reman process, the RH cylinder head was not suitable for reconditioning and replaced with a '67 289 Thermactor head cast in
July May 1967. Distributor was replaced during engine reman with a Ford service part.
