« on: January 26, 2020, 01:12:49 PM »
Can anyone refer me to a place where I can get the specs on GT500 rocker panel stripe placement and how to apply the decal for best results? Thanks.

Go to Branda Performance website http://www.cobranda.com/ . Click on tech info . You will find it there along with other info.

I see the LeMans stripe specs, but not the lower rocker panel "GT500" stripe specs

It has been on there for decades but when I went to look just now I couldn't find it ether. I have to go to another computer for files of it to copy and will post it in a couple of hours unless someone helps first.

Here are some pages out of he SAAC Shelby registry. Stripe placement measured from the bottom of the door varied from 1/8 to about 1/2 inch . In the text it mentions after wrapping the strip around edges (doors fenders etc. to put a little clear nail polish .The factory would typically brush some yellow weatherstrip adhesive there.  The most important aspect to get it straight and the GT350 /500 detail at the door edge.

Thanks. I actually have the 2011 Registry book, but I didn't know it was in there. I did print out the Tony Branda Le Mans stripe info though. I am looking for a 1967 Shelby GT500 to purchase. My first one when I find one in my price range.

FYI the LeMans stripes (over the top) were designed for the 65/66 body and not the 67/68 body version which is different .There were no 67 or 68 Shelby's painted with the LeMans stripes from the factory . It was a common owner added personalization that many justify as "dealer installed" . As a almost 30 year Shelby concours judge veteran I have yet to see even one legitimate (seen fakes) dealer documentation presented in conocours to substantiate a dealer installed Lemans stripe on a 67/68 Shelby done before the first customer took delivery. Done before the first customer took delivery when new is the typical line in the sand that the Mustang venues typically use. It is likely that there is one out there somewhere but haven't seen one. The Lemans stripes are deducted for in concours without reasonable proof therefore .
