Topic: Which Convertible Top Fluid Should I Use?

Hi all,
I have an Oct 64 SJ built convertible and I drained the oil out of my convertible pump, rams and lines a few years back when I started the installation. I plugged it all up to keep debris out but now I'm not sure what oil to put back in. I have read that its either transmission fluid or possibly brake fluid for earlier cars.
Can someone in the know please tell me which one and what type to put in?

use type F auto trans fluid.

I really appreciate the help as I do not want to get this wrong and ruin all the seals in my system.

I had the info that I have attached in my files.
In the Fluid section where it says "Most cars 1967 and newer use automatic transmission fluid, from 1962-67 they may have used either automatic transmission fluid or brake fluid." is what is making me somewhat nervous.

So just making sure but Type F Auto Trans Fluid is what I should use on a 1964 built car?
(Sorry to ask twice but I'd just like to be certain here)

factory shop manual specifies type F. never heard of brake fluid being used. maybe your info is from a generic shop manual??
