The Osborne manual shows a sealer between the bracket and the car body. It looks like a circular application. How was this applied?
Should be rope caulk.
I prefer to use 3M Strip-Calk (08578 Black), available from almost all Mustang parts supplier or local automotive stores. Jim
The current formula for 3M strip caulk is butyl-based and nothing like original, it's a sticky mess and I would not recommend it at all. Discussed previously: http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=15605.0
Without a manufacturers part/stock/catalog number listed, this post answers very little.Jim
