Finish on rear edge of front carpet-66 Fastback San Jose
« on: November 02, 2019, 09:58:20 AM »
It probably doesnt' matter that this is for a '66 shelby, but just in case that's what it's for.

I've got to replace the front portion of the carpet.  I ordered a set and it's different than what's installed right now.  The back edge of the new carpet doesn't have the surge finish toward the rear (near the seats) and the capret currently installed does.  Which is correct?

Thank you!

Surged edge is original and correct

This is most noticeable as the carpet edge passes over the driveline tunnel

I thought I would mention another aspect highlighted in the picture is of the screw that is many times forgotten to be re installed after restoration. I find it to be one of the most common things deducted for in the interior.
