Fastback roof insulation pic?
« on: October 21, 2019, 05:35:54 PM »
Does anyone have pics of the original roof insulation for a 65-66 fastback?  Basically, a pic of the headliner removed.

There are also usually some small blocks of jute insulation on the rear sides.

Not sure if it matters for this, but the car I'm working on has an Oct 64 San Jose scheduled build date.

Here is a shot of the small jute rectangle Just glued in place with yellow contact cement. Happens to be from a late car.

Don't recall a picture a 65 fastback roof insulation shot (original stuff) but will check. Only recall a 67 ot 68 coupe and a couple of 69 examples but could be wrong.

Believe this one is courtesy of Tim Lea:)

Thanks.  Coupe roof insulation is 2 pieces, fastback is 1.  I'm going to have to make 1 piece from 2, so looking to see exactly how big it should be.

As expected I didn't find a picture of the roof section. Recall that they covered the recess area, between the pillars and rails - where there was only the roof layer
