Reverse lights
« on: September 29, 2019, 12:17:27 AM »
The last two shows I have gone to, I have gotten comments about my 1965 Fastback, (oct 64 build, San Jose) having reverse lights.  I was told they weren't available till 66.  Is this true?  I have the original panel, and it all looked very original to me.  So were they an option, or something that phased in?

Reverse lights were an option in 65 and standard in 66. My October of 64 fastback has reverse lights and came with the car

They sure were available.....but as an "option" only.  It was both a Factory option and also a Dealer option as well.

As mentioned above, It was an option only in '64 1/2-'65 and standard on all cars in '66.....

So forget the naysayers.... They have no idea what they are talking about...
