1968 San Jose GT 390 Fastback Sheet Metal Questions

Just looking to confirm if the these holes were factory drilled or after the fact. I am thinking after the fact but have to ask to be sure as I am planing to weld them up.

With out know what part of the car each picture was from its difficult to be certain. Guess at least two are fender pictures. And yes allot of the holes appear to be later drilled holes but details would help make sure of all of them

This is the bottom of the front of the front fender where the lower front valence meets. Perhaps someone mounted some kind of a lower spoiler or fairing at some point. I don't think these holes are factory

This is the bottom of the rear front fender close to the door. I suspect that could be a mounting stud hole for the rocker moulding.

These 4 holes were drilled in the vent area on the rear quarter panels. They do not look factory. Looks like they were drilled for water to drain perhaps. Not sure why as it was a California car that spent its entire life in the desert, but anything is possible.

Using your original post as a guide from top to bottom

1- Drivers side fender forward. Non-original holes - weld them up and finish

2- Drivers side fender rearward = Appears that someone changed the fender and redrilled the rocker molding forward hole but not the two smaller ones for the plastic retaining clip. Are the moldings going back on the car?

3-Yes - non factory so weld them up

4- Appears in the other pictures you posted the passenger fender forward lower edge also has the same holes as #1 above so fill those also

Since the rocker molding fit ok before all this work I would leave them, find all the original mounting hardware and add the plastic clips to both fenders later.

While we are on the subject I am not going to not use the Shelby scoops that were on my car when I purchased it and going back to the factory quarter side vents and the lower quarter trim. Looking to confirm what holes should be drilled for the trim. Are the 3 rear holes pictured correct or should I weld them up as well and drill new holes.
