I mean how is the clip attached to the crossmember, respectively where is this clip exactly being used.

I mean how is the clip attached to the crossmember, respectively where is this clip exactly being used.
Ralf, the clip you show (with 'incorrect bright zinc finish) secures the speedometer cable into a pre-punched hole in the transmission tunnel crossmember (not the "bolt-in" crossmember). It attaches by pressing into the bulge in the middle of the clip and the prongs on the back side will expand (same principle as the fuel line retaining clips).

Its always described on different web sites to be used in crossmember brace.
