Steering Wheel Horn Ring Spacer

Hi,
I'm about to restore an original Woodgrain Wheel.

I saw (have) this part:

Horn Ring Spacer (>>see pic)

Has this part been used on a 67 Woodgrain Wheel as well? (Btw. as I figured out it is possible to put the part in between of the horn plate contacts >> see pic)

And what is the function of such a part?

On which wheel this part has been assembled?

Just wondering if this part is needed

I can not say for certain but I would say it is a insulator for the horn contact plate. IMHO it would not be there if not needed.

Means for a 67 Woodgrain a spacer is needed and should have 3 tabs.

I do have only the spacer with 4 tabs.

Anyone who might sell the 3 tabs version to me?
