spare tire size
« on: May 23, 2019, 06:47:50 PM »
I need to build a spare tire for may 70 Mach 1.  It did not come with space saver. I need to know what the correct wheel size is. Is it 14x6 with 3.5 inch back spacing? And if someone can point me to one, that would be appreciated. thanks

That was very helpful!  Answers my questions. Thanks!   Sounds like there is still some uncertainty regarding a 351-2V. Thankfully that's not me!  :D

For any of these questions you need to go back to your buildsheet or the Marti report to figure out what wheels the car came with and other factory information. That with the engine and suspension package all work together to give you an idea of what was and was not available

For some reason the 1970 mustang 428 cj convertible came with 14x6 wheels & being more heavy than the fastbacks that have 14x7 so anybody know why?
