If I were putting together a list of items to take to a Plating Company, is there a basic list that is typical for all 67 Mustangs that would include these types of finishes. Starting with Gold and or Yellow zinc and zinc dichromate but perhaps a list that can be expanded as more suggestions get confirmed.
I figure those who have restored many vehicles of certain model years already have a basic understanding of this, perhaps even a list they follow so I am hoping fellow restorers have already walked the road I am taking for the first time. I have a local company who is able to do the work but I am hoping to take only one or two different batches in since these items are more of a "batch-pricing" type of a thing.
I have interest in also seeking information on other zinc products, putting together a similar list (likely a different thread) including typical components (taillight housings and dash cluster, radio chassis or brackets and the likes, trunk latches and so forth...including bolts that are used across the 67 model year at all plants. Obviously, we have the unique bolts that differ depending options (or time frame/location)so I understand the list would not be COMPLETE because of this and we have the Library article that would help out on much of that hardware.
