Instrument Bezel Deluxe 1967 Correct Style?
« on: April 14, 2019, 11:52:12 AM »
Hello,
There are a few posts out here related to the correct Deluxe Instrument Bezel 67.

I'm not asking about the printing, etching, silked or not of the letters (Wiper and Brakes). Its more related to the design/shape of the triangle (blinkers).

Of course there are also some differences in the size of the letters.

Attached two pics to show up.

Which version is more concours?

Edit: found a NOS part (3rd pic)

Thx.

Ralf

The assemblyline deluxe brushed panels were trimmed in such a way to expose the raised chromed plastic trim edge around the turn signal triangle.

How do the Burton parts hold up against the originals?

According to the site, the wiper and brakes text is silk screened.

I have a Burton part. And as said above, I'm not looking for silk or not.

Thx Bob for your answer.

I have posted my Burton insert with the factory bezel re-chromed. It looks like what Ford installed new. The Burton bezel assembly is still incorrect and because they used the textured bezel with the insert over it's VERY obvious. This is my Shelby. You can get an idea of what a correct assembly looks like.
