« on: March 21, 2019, 06:31:36 AM »
What brand of tire is everyone using on their '67s as replacements for a weekend driver ?

And size.... 225/60R15  ?

Thanks for your assistance.

Since 15 inch tires were never used on a '67 Mustang that's not an option for any daily river unless you are going to pay for some sort of aftermarket wheels which opens up a whole can of worms.

Stock wheels were either 14" X 5 1/2" (most Mustangs) or 14' X 6" for GT models. A typical radial tire size that fits either of these rims is P205 70R 14 for the 5.5" rim or P215 70R 14 for the 6" rim width. These are commonly available tire sizes because millions of Ford Taurus used tires in those sizes over the past 20 years.

OP by mistake forgot to mention that he has a week end driver 67 Shelby Mustang which came factory with 15 inch wheels and E 70 15 tires.

In that case P21570R 15 if the rims are 6" wide. Lots of choices out there as far as sidewall design, tread design, and manufacturer.
