Agree that they appear to be early repro parts. The packaging is the big red flag and would assume repro from that aspect.. Early repro Battery cable wire parts differ from later wire repro parts by the diameter of the wire . The early wire is thinner like original. The the later repro wire is metric and the next best size ends up being a thicker wire . Thicker wire is better from a function standpoint but not so much for original look. There are things like terminal and post ends that differ between repro and original .I am reluctant to go into detail but will let others do so if they think appropriate. FYI I know of a few ebay sellers that take early repro wire and market it as original so buyer beware.

On the subject of were there assembly line battery cables with paper labels, (also touched on in this thread http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=18657.0), I have seen the repro sets with paper labels but I also have some pictures of an Aug 11, 1964 planned build SJ K code couple taken in September of 64 by the original owner that clearly show paper labels on the cables (original yellow cap battery is also present).  I also know the story of the car from the original owner who took the pictures.

Also, here is a set of cables that came off of a June Dearborn K code, believe that they may have been installed around 1980 based upon what the owner at that time told me.  Note the paper tag that was still on the ground cable.  The C5ZB part of the eng # doesn't not appear in the period parts/engineering interchange manual, so I am assuming that these were either Ford service parts or repros.  Note that the terminal boot on the + cable is red rather than the black on the packaged repro cable that started this thread.  These cables also have the SX 6, SW 9 embossed into the terminals.  Also, the battery terminal ends are brass.  Repros? Later Ford Service Parts?
