Drag Pack Oil Cooler Lines
« on: December 24, 2018, 06:04:24 PM »
Would anyone have decent pictures of the actual routing of the drag pack oil cooler lines around the area of the power steering oil cooler on a 428 SCJ Mach 1 1970 mustang. This area seems very tight and congested for the DP oil cooler lines and a PS oil cooler mounted.

The cooler lines are below the PS pump though the PS cooler plumbing sort of mixes in.  I don't have a picture but this diagram is a start.

Thanks, much appreciated, have seen this before and it seems to be a typical for the drag pack install.
I was hoping for some actual pics, as I am still working on and mocking up the install on my restoration project.

Not a picture from my car, but this is also what mine look like.  Yes, it's very tight in there.

From my 69.  I don't have PS.  So no help with that set-up.  Brian

Thanks so much for the pictures guys, just what I was looking for. Yes I thought it would be mighty tight in that area with the PS cooler, washer container, fuel pump and other things. This will definitely help me in the routing of the lines and understanding what goes over and under and where. I appreciate you getting back to me after all this time, as my original post asking for info was back in Dec. 2018.

Is there anyone that reproduces the parts to install a Drag Pack Oil Cooler?

Is there anyone that reproduces the parts to install a Drag Pack Oil Cooler?

The brackets, correct bracket fasteners and the oil cooler are all currently reproduced.  There is also a repro of the oil filter adapter for this setup, though it isn't quite correct.  The oil cooler lines were reproduced, but perhaps not now?
