Trying to narrow down the change from the open handle ratcheting lug wrench to the closed style.

I've got a 5R178x car with an open handle to start things off...

Seems the change might have been around Feb/March '65 at all the plants.  Metuchen may have never used the open style?

I have found three versions of the ratchet lug wrench. Open and closed handle, and solid rear socket. Maybe carry over from Falcon?

Since they are often hidden under the spare don't have many pictures and they are often lost and replaced on restored cars.

Here is what I found

Although the lugwrench is the topic I have to comment on the jack in the first picture in the reply above. The jack  has been severely damaged on the lugwrench end and may give the wrong impression of what is expected for someone doing research. I would suggest using another picture  or just eliminate that one. Meant in a helpful way.

Thanks it been dealt with

Also modified your post so it would not show there also. ;)
