Help on Mystery Wires
« on: December 14, 2018, 08:36:01 PM »
I have been trying to identify this wire harness and where it goes, I believe it is off my car but do not know where it goes as it was in a box of disassembled parts and I had not tagged it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I may be wrong but I believe the door speaker wires if the car had stereo where mounted in a plastic protection cover which is bolted the door sheet metal.

+3.  Stereo harness that plugs into the radio and goes to each door.

Okay yes thank you, now makes sense, I checked the door harnesses and it matches the orange/black and white/black wires there. Can you  tell me which color goes which way is the orange DS or PS routing?
My car only came with an AM radio and I wanted to install AM/FM in it and at some point a number of years ago I have obviously purchased this wiring harness for that setup, including the door jam to door harnesses, difficult to find today especially with an excellent unbroken cover between the door and jam rubber plugs.

Can anyone advise where I might get a copy of the template the factory used to cut the holes in the doors for the speakers?

There is a guy on Ebay selling the template.

Orange is driver's side; white is passenger side.
