1968 GT 390 Heater Motor Verification (Correct Paint Finish)

Just curious if this is an original motor or not, The sticker/decal leads me to believe that it has been rebuilt. I just want to make sure before I remove it and paint it. Also what level of gloss should it be. I was planning to paint it semi gloss, close to what it is now. Also curious if it should be the same gloss as the firewall or slightly glossier.

Does not appear to be a rebuilt unit but a replacement

Guess your building a non AC car (didn't include that detail) - if so then the shape/design is not like originals. Original exterior body was two piece both sort of shaped line cups joined together in the center and covered with a black masking looking seal around the seam

Yes same design used for many years. Glossier black finish of the semi-gloss range for sure. For your time period of car don't believe I've ever seen any visible (once installed) engineering markings or dating so you don't have to worry that detail

Great so as long as it has the same design I should be fine. Obviously the design I have is not acceptable
