67 Shelby Bumper Brackets

The 67 Shelby bumper brackets are modified versions of the stock Mustang pieces to accommodate the longer nose.
The large bracket has an extension welded to it.
My car had so much undercoating on it I couldn't make out finish details, other than semi gloss black.

However, all repops show the new welded on sections of the bracket being natural, with only the original portions of the brackets being semi-gloss. Is that concours correct?

The smaller tubular bracket are shown in repops as having flat metal welded on -- mine has the original tube cut off and repositioned.
I'm thinking that the repops might be the last iteration of how Shelby made them and that mine are correct for its build date. However seeing as how the repops don't paint the added section it makes me wonder if the cutoff area and rewelded tube area would be painted at SA.

Ether bracket was completely painted semigloss black. The tubular bracket evolved from 67 to 68. 67 had the tube cut off and relocated. 68 had a addition tab welded on instead of cutting and relocating the tube which was less labor intensive. The repros are of the 68 variety. If you want 67 ones you have to make them yourself. The other bumper bracket was the same between 67 and 68.

All of my nose pieces appear original and correct including the correct date coded bumper, large brackets and fenders. The nose and hood are Shelby pieces and appear to be original to the car.

Thanks for validating the paint and that my cutoff style tubular piece is also correct.

I just found my fender to bumper Z-brackets in the "stuff to restore" pile. I can't determine the finish on these.

Since the Z-bracket was added at SA, what finish should it have?
For extra credit, how about the washer and nut (for the chrome head bolt) which were also added at SA?

Edit -- yet to distinguish between a nut and a bolt!

This is the unattributed item marked #3 on page 22 of the Shelby Master Assy Man.
My guess is semi-flat black or P&O as leaving it bare invites rust really quickly and body color is out as too labor intensive.
