  You show a perforated S shape hose attached to the heater core next to the valve cover. Do you have additional photos showing how this is connected to the top side of the motor? Was there a valve attached then an additional hose running to the upper intake elbow for the heater hose? I have an NOS hose but have never seen this set up.

By the way, My Hertz car also has the KKK suspension with a build date of April 2nd.

Yes the preformed hose connects to the valve that controls the flow of the water to the heater core on a AC equipped small block. The S hose connects to the control valve then to neck attached to the intake at the front of the engine

Check the pictures for this specific car and it doesn't appear that I have a clear picture of the whole upper heater hose assembled from end to end. Did find (lots of things in the way) some pictures of the valve and placement on other similar cars that follow

Like this  - have this one saved as C9AA-18495-D

They leak, become frozen and often owners toss them out at some point.



Think I'll split this short discussion off on its own so others can find the info quicker and easier in the future

I think power vent also gets it.

We see so few of those so don't recall. May be covered in the 69 electrical and vacuum big book.

I suppose I need to be more direct . The power vent gets the valve also.
