1964.5 Window Beltline Weatherstrip
« on: September 23, 2018, 04:58:34 PM »
I am trying to determine if the window beltline weatherstrip for my early Mustang (stats in signature) had chrome or black bead. The car was painted during its life and I am not sure if the bead on the removed pieces were painted over. I have available FoMoCo NOS chrome beaded ones.
Thanks Roger

In the few pictures I have of the detail around your cars build time and after talking to Charles and confirming it appears that your car would have had the non-plated (chrome look) beading along the edge. So the black version

Just for my clarity. It would be black bead and not chrome
Thanks Roger

Yes black bead - not chrome. Apparently Dearborn installed that style for a fair amount of time
