To be factory correct, yes they should. Do you need dimensions?

As you can see from the pictures that Jeff posted they are centered vertically and horizontally in the area above the pleats, so dimensions not really necessary.   I just looked at mine and they are very buried at the moment...but I do have a parchment comfortweave one in the garage attic, that would be more handy...be right back...ok I'm back.  Picture 1 shows that the center of the "button" is 8-1/8" measured horizontally from the nearest pleat in the center of the seat cushion.  Picture 2 shows that the center is about 3-1/2" from the pleat directly below the button.  I suppose that a non-comfortweave might be different than the solid material, so use these only as a sanity check please.

As for the anomaly - I've seen over 100 1967 interior décor cars and have never seen one without them.  But I have not seen them all :)

These sometimes get left off when the seats are recovered

67gta289 the measurements are very helpful now and for others that will check out your post

Yes most of the catalog companies carry them with or without the backers

Since I like to include part numbers to enhance search engine discovery, the 1968 plate is C8SZ-6564825-A.  The 1968 part number confirms my observation from cutting into my fair share of 67 deluxe seats over the last ~26 years is that 67 did not use them.  (Edit- see post below correcting this error)

The ornament is C7ZZ-6564824-A.  The MPC calls out retainer C7ZB-6564825-A.  I'll look for a picture of this next.

It's refreshing to find someone not afraid of part numbers.

An engineer afraid of part numbers would be....

I stand corrected. My memory failed me.  See the attached picture.   It looks like backing plates are part of the deal.

Those look the same as the 67 picture I just posted.  Must be some change to cause the C8 part.  Either that or the MPC is in error.
