'65 Convertible Well Liner color?
« on: July 15, 2018, 08:57:35 PM »
Hi all, and thanks for reading...

Should the convertible top well liner be a specific color? Should it match the color of the seats? Or the carpeting?

Thanks in advance!

Tommy

The seats, door cards, steering wheel are white, the carpeting, and dash pad are blue.

Your question probably has been beaten to death in the past...but It's a great question..

I don't see any other colors other than Black or White offered for the Well Liner...

I would think that the Well Liner would always be Black unless you had a White Top....

I can't picture a White Well Liner with anything other than a White Top... but maybe others can chime in and add to the discussion...

Black, even with a white top.

Thanks for the replies guys....

I was at a regional MCA show in Nebraska over the weekend, and a couple of 1st gen convertibles had white bay liners (with white tops). The bay liner in my car is black, and I have a feeling
it's original to the car. Even with blue carpeting, top, and white interior. White just seemed odd for a bay liner. Blue I think I understand, but black....makes sense.

Black was the only color used for well-liners on early convertibles.
