1967 COUPE Scode value
« on: June 12, 2018, 01:02:20 PM »
Hey All
I have an opportunity to purchase a 1967 s code 390 lime green coupe. It is really loaded with air int and ext groups
exc condition with marti report all original 30k miles. I have only bought fastbacks and convertibles so Im not that up on the coupe prices. Could anyone give a good ballpark what this might be worth? It has a black vinyl top its a true GTA
everything is numbers matching and matches everything on Marti report. Thanks for any help...

I don't think they fetch as much, in best case scenario MAYBE 60-70% of a fastback similarly equipped. Auto fastback GTA's don't do as well as a Top Loader twin.

I have some interest in the Spring Stamp Codes off the rear leafs if you can spot the stamping, well that and the actual Build date/location too ;)

Its unfortunate but many in this hobby dislike the 67-68 light green colors.

Sounds like a great car!   Hagerty has a value guide and there might be other sources you can check out.

As was stated, it  won't bring as much as a equivalent fastback but if it's as nice as it sounds, it should bring top dollar coupe money.

Keep us posted should you buy it.

I follow 68 GTCS and HCS coupes top cars seam to be in the 45-55K range unless it is a R code. I would look in NADA classis car values for a better estimate that would consider the car's options.

According to value guides, like ruppstang said, about $55k.

Of course like it's always been in the car hobby, they are only worth what someone is willing to pay.

There are three price ranges listed in NADA. I consider the top range to be a pristine car that has single digit mileage. In other words, it don't exist.

FWIW:  I paid $32K for mine two years ago.
Equivalent GTA was $35K...

Mine is a deluxe frost turquoise/white vinyl top with C6 and a Non-GTA...
113K miles, fresh build on motor, fully restored, show quality.

Wow, it's a beauty!

Great looking car in my opinion but if you are going to lay out a bunch of money for it you might want to have another set of eyes go over it.  Is the mileage documented?  Paperwork with the car? Original inside, outside, under the hood, underneath?

Don't know if it's the angle or not but looks like the rear quarter doesn't have blackout on the pinchweld?   Seems to be some remaining on the rocker.

I'll throw in my 2cents  :)

From the one pic posted, it looks like a nice car.
The 2 things that jump out to me right away are:
1) GTA emblem is slanted and the stripe behind it isn't cut out like it should be
2) Magnum 500 wheels

The above items are overall easily corrected.

I wonder where the value guides get their prices from.  Has anyone on here seen a 67 GT or GTA 390 coupe (outside of a big auction) sell for over $35K recently?

It also looks like the car is for sale at a dealer.
To the OP...have you been searching for awhile for a coupe like this or did you see it and think it'd be nice to have?
I'm a big fan of the 390 coupes and have owned a few (currently have 2)

It came up and I bought it I have dealt with this dealer for 25 years they have always treated me right
I have just always had Fastback and convertibles this will be my first coupe just wondering what the real money on it should be. It does have a deluxe Marti report and rveything matches what It says. I will try to bring it back as close to orig as possible with the help from this site.

I have an affinity for the Coupe GTA's for obvious reasons. I saw the Marti Report on this car. This one parallels close to the option list my examples has. (His has S-code as a PLUS while mine has other amenities such as Convenience Group, Tilt-Away, Tach, Courtesy group and a small block C4 A-code). There were some other interesting notations I caught with the other camera shots I saw of this S-code that fall under mark for Concours but it really does look very sharp, inside and out! I love it!
