« on: May 05, 2018, 07:48:43 PM »
67 S code. I The thermostat that I removed from the car. It has an outside diameter of 2 1/2". I can only find ones with a 2 1/8' diameter! I have tried most large auto stores as well as Rockauto with no luck. Anybody have an idea?

Very early 67production is when the change over to the 2 1/8 happened. Approximately end of Nov/Dec 1966. There is a firm date in the MPC but that date isn't always set in stone. Before that time the larger 2 1/2 thermostat was used on the Fe.  I typically buy from Summit or Jegs. This is the one I use when having to deal with the larger FE thermostats on 65-early 67 that I work with .   Milodon High-Flow Thermostats 16405.   https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mil-16405/overview/make/chrysler . I hope this helps.

Sometimes the O'Rielly's or other larger autoparts stores will have them in their small high performance section. But don't count on a wide selection of temps.
