Not everyone used the same terms, as we've seen many times. Plus we have many members whom English is a second language.  Ford grouped them together but lets see what the OP reports back

Sorry,  Marti report just states wheel covers on Goodyear whitewall tires but I figured I would go with the ones in the one and only photo shoot from Ford of the Mustang E'

They look like the set of four hub caps, (at least that's what I called them), I have, that were off of my 69 fastback 302.

Hub caps are not wheel covers. Many people in the industry get very testy over using incorrect terminology on this subject. If you ever met Larry Granger you would not call a wheel cover a hub cap after you received his tutorial lecture. Even Google has it correct.

Looks like the answer would be semi-gloss black. IMHO slightly more on the shinny side most of the time

And to help with the full story. If the car was ordered with the smaller (not full   wheel cover but instead what some may refer to as dog dish hubcaps the wheels were painted body color on the exterior surface but still semi-gloss black on the rear face.


In this example you will notice that the wheel shows scares around the rim. The car was originally built with the small hubcaps but the original owner whated and paid for something else so they were installed from the dealership.

Thanks You guys.  The steel wheels I have are on the shiny side of black. Actually I would say gloss black is more correct.  Unfortunately the Marti report just says wheels covers.  Thats all I can go by. Just wanting to get the correct color under them.
