Topic: Rear bumper date code and more

removed my rear bumper today and found this date code plus what looks to be a G and a 3 in the far ends of the bumper. anyone know how to interpret the various stampings?

20=day
m=dec
2=nd shift
But IIRC that won`t be exactly correct.

Did you happen to miss the date coding article in the Library?  Page 4-5 
Date coding questions come up often so that is the reason this article was assembled and made available

The first part of the stampings are in a similar pattern as other Ford sheet metal. Starting with month and day of month 

5=May
20=Say of Month
M=Monroe stamping plant. The one that did bumpers
2 = Year

Most likely a service replacement stamped in 72 or 82

Haven't seen or heard mention other stampings in the G or 3 areas on originals
