I was confused by your pic 2.
If you reference my attached pic I thought the area by the pink dot was the end of the tube not a sharp 90 that was almost totally obscured. And, of course, on an early 67 car the end is either at the tank or at the front apron.
I did find the '3' clip on my parts car and it was near end of the front sub-frame, near the tunnel's break-over to the flat floor.
As stated in another thread, the disassembly pics of my SJ Shelby and it's near-build-date (and very close vin) parts car both have the early over steering column brake lines.
I get it...the picture I took of mine was referenced for my use when I put it back on so I already knew it was up front and the gas line went onward forwards (much, much further forwards from where this "#" snaps on)...then you asked "where" and my picture was only a taken a few days earlier so it was really handy!
BTW, I ended up purchasing new lines from "Right Stuff", though mine were "savable", it was clear that my small lines needed replaced up by the Master Cylinder and these lines laying next to the new M.C. lines wouldn't have made muster.
Hence, If somebody needs nice, usable, rust-free OE lines with a bit of "patina", I have some!
