Yes the correct heat range is BF32 .This info can be confirmed in the specification supplement to the 66 shop manual among others. The assemblyline plug would have a star on the insulator that the later versions do not have .

No - Same radio resistant markings, type and style as regular 289's

Though for 20 plus years (basically 80-90's)  we thought differently

Since we are on spark plug wires, were all 65-66's white lettering on one side and red on the other?  Mike pointed this out to me on his honey gold convertible.

I asked Marty. His answer was that they used different colors on different years. Basically not worth his time.

Kevin is correct. There are numerous variations in plug wire print colors. The off white with orange is a common color combo. The 66 hardtop I have with 52 original miles , original battery and never dealer prepped has multiple colors as shown in photo. Plug wires were not dated coded till 2nd or 3rd quarter 1966 making exact applications more difficult. The 289 HP wires were used on 65-66 Mustangs C4ZF-12280-A and C4ZF -12281-A rather than the standard C4ZF-12280-B and C4ZF-12281-B . There are factory photos as well as 65 Engine assembly manual noting the steel core plug wires as well as original cars with factory wires. There is also a factory photo Jeff supplied with Radio resistance wires on GT 350. HP 289 Plug wires are often debated with much enthusiasm. MCA concours rules accept either wire on 289 HP application if they are genuine FomoCo. There is supporting evidence both types were assembly line correct.

I think that from the business side he is making a choice. The wires appear to be not 100% like originals but how much would it cost to do them more correct (multi colored printing) and how many more would he sell?  He could possibly sell them for more money to reflect the additional printing cost buts its a choice.  Guess it would take another vendor to step up and produce them correctly at about or at the same price point to improve things
