Topic: Tag Light Wire Retainer

Was this a common practice to attach a wire retainer to the tag light? Starting to get into some nitpicking details on my car and I ran across this photo going through unrestored threads while working on my rear taillight buckets. Haven't seen this too many times if at all that I can recall.

If you are referring to the one in the upper RH corner of your picture, yes. It's strap 376914-S used from 64 thru 68.

To add to Jim's post the pre punched hole in the structure indicates that the intention was there for the strap to be installed regardless of if the strap made it on the car or not. They typically made it on the car however as mentioned.
