Topic: Trunk Lock Cylinder

Is there another trick to remove the trunk lock cylinder?  I've turned the key clockwise while pushing on the pin and it just does not want to seem to come out of the sleeve. Trying some penetrating oil to see if maybe that loosens it up...

Could try removing the latch and giving it a shove from the back side. I know when I replaced mine I had the latch off but don’t recall the procedure. Just took a little screwing with

Ok got it free. Next question, where does the small little gasket go? My original does not have one, and the website above does not mention it either

It slides over the lock cylinder and butts up to the end of the lock, closest to the key insert area.  I've seen them on originals.

Are you referring to the "O" ring? In the CJ pony how-to, pic 6, the "O" ring slides over the tumbler sleeve to fit between the rear piece, where the key is, to seal against the bezel. It's a tight fit.
