Topic: NOS wire harness???

I purchased this harness from a SJ plant worker and do not know what this is.  The blue tag attached is missing most of the letters and numbers but the last 3 digits appear to be 130.  Anyone familiar with what this is or application?  Looks like something under the dash, but I could not locate anything that resembled this on my '66 Sprint Conv.

No, I have a couple 66 seat belt warning lights, and they don't look anything like that.  It could be a 65...  As for what it is, I've never seen anything like it in my 10 years of seeing almost everything wiring.  I'll agree it sorta looks like a seat belt warning light, based upon the bulb socket.

Right on down to the surface rust on the relay can. The harness in the original post's picture, and your pictures are the same as the harness I have in front of me.

Wow.  Both of my 1966 examples have the two relay leads on the harness being an integral 2 pin connector, not separate like the OP's picture.

This might be the explanation ; attached is a copy of Section 14A313 from the 1960-68 MPC. Note that for 1966 Mustang, it shows that "Before 11/15/65", no Part # is given and one is supposed to "improvise" with wire from stock. "After 11/15/65", it shows the Part # as C6ZZ-14A313-A ; this is probably the single connector (?).

It's C6ZZ-14A313-A. The 66 Mustang Electrical Assembly manual (AM0013 pg58) calls out C6ZB-14A313-D harness. The drawing is not clear as to a single connector or two separate connectors. The schematic (AM0013 pg 73) is showing a single connection.
The two pin connection style might give a wider range of relay options on early units. Just a thought.

Aha!  I'll bet you that that's it: a very early 66 only edition of the seat belt lamp.  No wonder I haven't seen one yet.  I've worked or seen about 175 66 harnesses, about 1-2% come in with seat belt lamps, and from that, 1/3 of the year's production would have this early edition.  So...say 2% of 175 is 4, and a third of that is 1!  I don't remember how many I've actually run across, but something on the order of 5 or so.  By the luck of the draw, all of them would have been the latter version.

In paper form its just ALLOT of pages that you will likely never look at. When I purchased a full set of the 72 version years ago it cam in a big box and all stacked in a pile it was about 2 foot tall.  Now that we focus more on model year versions that means multiple copies of the same big stack  Though I do use the late version in electronic form or for quick use the Mustang Restoration Guide since its mostly just reprints of the same last version and only the Mustang stuff if I'm looking for starter/base numbers

I keep posting this link - http://squarebirds.org/Manuals/1965/1965-72FordPartsTextCatalog/ - that is the complete 75 MPC - for free. It's A LOT (the correct spelling) of pages that takes about 430mb of computer space. I also have the paper version in 8 binders, a little less than two feet on my book case. I use both. At least with "paper" you can make notes and corrections.
