67 windshield washer pump - foot driven, believe it or not.  I'm helping restore a 56 TBird with no w/s wiper washers whatsoever, it was an option.  So I guess a foot pump solution is better than nothing :)

Looks like a cardboard sleeve pushed over the pedal.

That was fast. Thanks for the quick answer. Didn't know there was such thing. The cardboard looking thing is a piece of rubber hose. Thought it was something to keep it from rattling under the dash or something.

These are great! This is also the predecessor to intermittent wipers. If you push down partway and release the wipers go one interval and park. If you push harder and release you get wiper juice and one interval. Keep your foot on and they stay on for as long as you like.

It takes practice to not hit your high beams. It takes more practice to use this, shift, and flip your high beams.

I have a friend that when he was a young man had his girl friend convinced that he had voice controlled wipers in his Mustang. LOL

The tube is not used when installed. Maybe to protect prior to installation.  The NOS ones I have had did not have that.

Attached is what goes on the end of the Pedal instead of that rubber sleeve.

John : I believe you meant to say "with no w/s washers whatsoever". Wipers were of course Standard items, but the washers were an Option at least through 1962.

I'm restoring mine now and wonder --- what did the white sticker say on it originally?
It would be a neat touch to replicate whatever is supposed to be on there.

I believe I can answer that once I get home. I believe it is a Ford Oval Script but will see if there is any more info

Bill: It is a white sticker with the oval and Ford script. My wipers don't work when I step on mine.  I had to mask the sticker off with low-tack hobby masking tape when I painted mine. Has anyone else had the wipers not function with the pedal post reassembly?

like this

I thought it had an engineering number too, wasn't sure. My original is intact AND I have a 'spare' NOS one ;) I'll post pics in a few...
