Topic: 1965 a code casting dates

Started doing a 1965 a code awhile back but putting a new kitchen took over my life for awhile, and you now how it goes kitchen or find  another room  I took some date numbers of the block, head, intake and distributed and was wondering if ‘‘this could be original equipment. The vin is 5f07a794906 and the plate reads 65am2619u3316.     The block is 5-f-29 c5ae 6015e  Intake 5-e-21 but the casting reads c6oe-9425 b the head date is5-f-22  and the distributor reads c5gf 12127-a  Thanks gary

Casting numbers are good for a late '65 build.  The C6 intake is correct.  The distributor will have a date code by the engineering number, format like 5FAB.

There's lots of other parts that are dated and make up the full engine assembly... heads, timing cover, harmonic balancer, exhaust manifolds, air cleaner and snorkel, etc...

I wasn’t sure because it had the c6 in the casting code so that’s good to here, I’ll pull the distributor and get a better read thanks for responding gary

Thanks for checking it out, engine is not out of the car yet so I’m trying to get numbers I can see to get a feel if it is somewhat correct it’s looking ok thanks again gary
